Frequently Asked Questions

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Squares Left works 100% offline. Your birthday, name, and all preferences are stored only on your device. We never see or collect your data.

How is life expectancy calculated?

We use World Health Organization (WHO) statistical averages bundled with the app. If you provide your country and sex, the estimate is refined. You can also manually override it in Settings.

Can I change my birthday after setup?

Yes. Go to Settings and tap on your birthday to update it. Your life grid will recalculate immediately.

How do I reset the app?

Go to Settings and use the "Reset" option, or simply delete and reinstall the app. All data is stored locally, so a reset is permanent.

The widgets aren't updating.

Widgets refresh approximately every 15 minutes and when you open the app. If a widget appears stuck, try removing and re-adding it to your home screen.

Is Squares Left free?

The core app is free. We may offer optional premium widgets via in-app purchase in the future.
